SEASON ONE1 "A Prince Appears"
Ryoma Echizen moves to Japan after having success at tennis in the US (winning four consecutive American Junior Openings). He 'saves' Sakuno Ryuzaki from upperclassmen without realizing it. He then puts one of the older boys named Sasabe in his place with a tennis match.
2 "Samurai Junior"
Ryoma beats two juniors who are picking on the freshman. He then plays tennis with Takeshi Momoshiro. Momoshiro plays with a bad ankle, while Ryoma plays with his off hand. They quit playing before either wins. Sakuno's friend Tomoka is introduced.
3 "They've Arrived! The Seigaku Regulars"
The Seigaku Regulars are introduced. Reporter Mamoru Inoue and photographer Saori Shiba take an interest in Ryoma. Ryoma defeats 2nd year non-regular Arai using an old broken tennis racket. The captain of the tennis team, Tezuka, enters Ryoma's name on the intraschool ranking matches roster despite the fact that he is a freshman (and therefore technically not allowed to participate).
4 "The Man Called Viper"
Ryoma and the Seigaku Regulars win all their matches as the coming year's regulars are chosen through the intraschool ranking matches. In the third round, the regular Kaoru Kaidoh is Ryoma's opponent. Kaidoh uses his special move, the Snake, while Ryoma switches to his good hand.
5 "Snake Shot"
Kaidoh uses his snake shot to wear off Ryoma's stamina, but instead Ryoma wins the game using a clever plan to turn the tables on him, making Kaidoh the tired victim instead.
6 "That Man, Echizen Nanjirou"
Inoue plays a match with the former "Samurai Nanjiro" to get answers about why he retired, just to find out that he now focuses on developing Ryoma, meanwhile Sakuno looks for Ryoma to learn more about him and tennis.
7 "Two Ryomas"
Inui Sadaharu is Ryoma's next opponent. He uses data tennis to counter Ryoma's play style. It seems like an easy win for Inui, but Ryoma refuses to give up.
8 "Split Step"
Ryoma uses a new technique, a variation of the Split Step that makes him fast enough to return Inui's calculated shots. This, along with the Twist Serve, turns the game into Ryoma's favor.
9 "The Hard Day"
Ryoma finally defeats Inui, and in doing so becomes a regular. Inui's next opponent is Kaidoh, who also surpasses Inui's data and takes a spot in the regulars as well. Ryuzaki-sensei asks Inui to help in the regulars training anyway; he does so by introducing his special, dreaded vegetable juice, which he dubs "Inui Juice".
10 "Counter Attack! Sasabe Once Again"
Ryoma and the rest of the first years go to where Kachiro's father works as tennis coach just to find trouble with Sasabe junior again, but now it's Sasabe senior's turn to learn a lesson from Ryoma.
11 "Echizen VS Momoshiro"
Ryoma and Momoshiro both realize that they want to play Singles Three in the upcoming Gyokurin match. But when beaten by two cocky Gyokurin doubles players on a street court, the two decide that "real men play doubles."
12 "The Two "AH UN" Boys"
Momo and Ryoma volunteer to play in doubles 2 and they also develop a tactic to improve their playing coordination. Their rivals use the Double Net strategy taking advantage of Momo and Ryoma's lack of coordination and turn the game into their favor.
13 "Men Play Doubles"
Ryoma and Momoshiro agree to split the court in half, so they only each have to defend one half of the court. It is a strange but effective strategy that rescues the game but doesn't save the Seigaku pair from a punishment, even when they win the match.
14 "The Swallow Return!"
Fudomine, an unknown team that withdrew from last tournament for internal affairs, is Seigaku's next rival. In the first game Fuji and Kawamura find themselves struggling against the first Fudomine pair; forcing Fuji to use the Tsubame Gaeshi, one of his special techniques.
15 "Their Respective Fights"
Ishida tries a desperate measure to seal Fuji's Tsubame Gaeshi by using a hit of considerable strength called Hadoukyouu aimed straight at Fuji. Kawamura gets in the way and hurts his wrist returning the Hadoukyouu, forcing Seigaku to forfeit the match.
16 "Boomerang Snake"
The Golden Pair wins their doubles match easily thanks to Kikumaru's acrobatics, it's now the time for the game between Kaidoh and Kamio. Kaoru's snake shot turned out to be ineffective against the speed ace from Fudomine, but in a moment of desperation Kaidoh perform an amazing yet impossible shot, that the audience called the Boomerang Snake.
17 "The Small Winning Pose"
Kamio and Kaidoh's game becomes an endurance match but in the end Kaidoh's willpower outlast Kamio's stamina. Also Momo learns the identity of the girl he has been running into, who turns out to be Fudomine's player-coach Tachibana's younger sister Ann.
18 "Love Letter"
Nanjiro Echizen finds a letter from Ryuzaki-sensei and remembers his days as a Seigaku regular, meanwhile the game heats up between Ryoma's Twist Serve and Ibu's Kick Serve, which is very similar to Ryoma's.
19 "Ryoma is Injured"
Ryoma struggles to resist Ibu's "Spot" but when his racket got loose from his grip due to the "Spot",it rebound to hit his eye. With his eyelid bleeding it seems impossible for him to continue. Nevertheless he insist on continuing the match.
20 "Time Limit"
Tezuka gives Echizen 10 minutes to finish the game, after which he will forfeit the match. Ryoma manages to overcome Ibu's "spot" and wins the match in less than 10 minutes. After tending to Echizen's wounds, the Seigaku regulars celebrated in Kawamura's sushi restaurant.
21 "Is the Tennis Court Heating Up?"
Spies from other schools begin to observe Seigaku's training, and Momo and Ryoma teach two of the spies that playing tennis can be just as fun.
22 "Kaoru's Misfortune"
While Momo and Kamio Akira butt heads with Atobe Keigo and Kabaji, Ryoma and Ibu Shinji battle over grip tape by creating a contest in which they catch a pickpocket. Kaidoh is unwittingly dragged into the mess.
23 "Appeared! Inui's Juice Deluxe"
Kaidoh and Oishi are forced to drink Inui's special vegetable juice for losing in a special training match and become very sick. Tezuka drinks all of Inui's juice by mistake, so Inui is now forced to use his Deluxe Juice on the loser in the Kikumaru-Ryoma match.
24 "Ryoma's Holiday"
Ryoma is asked by Coach Ryuzaki to go to the racket-stringer with Ryuzaki Sakuno; Nanjiroh, Momoshiro, and the freshman trio spy on the supposed "date.
25 "The Strongest Man in Seigaku"
Captain Tezuka risks his own health to challenge Ryoma to a match. He feels Ryoma's tennis is a copy of his father's game and wants Ryoma to aim higher.
26 "The Strongest Man in Seigaku (Part 2)"
Oishi worries that Tezuka will injure his already weakened arm in his match against Ryoma. Meanwhile, the other team members, unaware of Tezuka's plan, grow suspicious.
SEASON TWO27 "Karupin's Adventure"
Ryoma accidentally packs his cat, Karupin's, favorite toy in his tennis bag. Karupin follows him to school and explores the grounds. When Ryoma finds out his cat is on campus, he rushes to find him.
28 "A New Regular Appears!?"
When Ryoma oversleeps before the match, Horio is forced to impersonate Ryoma, but he gets more than he bargains for when another player hears him bragging. Mizuki, the player-manager of St Rudolph, is introduced when he tells Akiyama, Seigaku's opponent, to target the Seigaku players' weak spots.
29 "Momo and the Viper"
Momoshiro and Kaidoh are paired up to play Doubles 2 against St Rudolph's Kisarazu Atsushi and Yanagisawa Shinya even though the two are rivals. Ironically, however, they are compatible to each other since they know each other's strengths and weaknesses.
30 "Mizuki's Scenario"
Momoshiro and Kaidoh struggle as the opponents know their strengths and weaknesses too well. However, the last ditch appearance of the Boomerang Snake throws Mizuki's carefully laid plans in disarray.
31 "Moon Volley"
Momoshiro knocks out the St. Rudolph player Yanagisawa when his Dunk Smash hits the player by accident. Seigaku wins Doubles 2 by default. The Golden Pair takes to the courts against Kaneda and Akazawa.
32 "Super Move! Eiji's "Pretend to Sleep" Attack!?"
Eiji runs out of energy, while Oishi covers for him. Eiji recovers and is seemingly about to overwhelm St. Rudolph, but he falters in the end.
33 "Tiebreak"
Eiji runs out of energy, while Oishi covers for him. Eiji recovers and is seemingly about to overwhelm St. Rudolph, but he falters in the end.
34 "Twist Spin Shot"
Ryoma faces Yuuta Fuji, Shusuke Fuji's younger brother. He quickly runs into trouble due to the Twist Spin shot of his opponent.
35 "Drive B"
Ryoma unveils his new move, Drive B, to counter the Twist Spin Shot. He also tells Yuuta not to use his Twist Spin shot anymore. The ruthlessness of Mizuki is revealed as he was shown to be the one who taught Yuuta the dangerous move knowingly.
36 "Big Brother, Syusuke Fuji"
Fuji teaches Mizuki a lesson about tennis on the courts, and Fudomine unexpectedly defeats Hyotei Gakuen 3-0.
37 "Tennis Ball with Ryoma's Face"
Nanjiro tricks Ryoma into teaching Sakuno and Tomoka tennis; Ryoma humiliatingly defeats the entire Ginka tennis team, who tries to pick on Sakuno, while Jin Akutsu observes.
38 "Penal Tea"
Akutsu wreaks havoc in Seigaku, attacking Kachiro, Arai, and Ryoma. A connection between him and Kawamura is revealed as the regulars spy on the meeting from afar.
39 "Higuma Otoshi! (Bear Drop)"
After a grueling training, Ryoma and Fuji (among other players) face off. Fuji shows the second of the three Counterattacks, the Higuma Otoshi (Bear Drop), which counters Ryoma's Smashes.
40 "A Duel in the Rain"
The duel between Fuji and Ryoma is cut short when Ryuzaki stops them due to the rain.
41 "Trouble!"
Four Fudomine players are involved in an accident, forcing Fudomine to forfeit to Yamabuki once Akutsu alerts Tachibana to the fact.
42 "Oishi Being Targeted"
Oishi and Eiji manage to defeat the "Jimmies," a doubles pair who were victorious over Oishi the previous year.
43 "Lucky Sengoku"
Sengoku reveals his "Kohō" and his Motion Vision and takes the lead against Momo.
44 "Jack Knife"
Momo defeats Sengoku 7 to 5 using the "Jack Knife.
45 "The Devil on the Court"
Akutsu and Ryoma battle on the court. Ryoma is easily overwhelmed and Akutsu tells Ryoma that he will not get another point.
46 "Samurai Spirit"
Ryoma bravely fights against Akutsu.
47 "Will Not Lose!"
Banji gives Akutsu some advice and he takes it.
48 "Decisive Moment"
Ryoma wins the match, and also wins Akutsu's grudging respect. Akutsu announces his retirement from tennis, and the identity of Kawamura's "girlfriend" (first shown in Episode 38) is revealed.
49 "A Different Kind of Fight"
Inoue and Shiba visit Seigaku to observe the Intraschool ranking matches.Kirihara also visits and starts trouble.
50 "Seigaku's Claim to Fame"
After Momo is defeated by Tezuka and Inui (and thus knocked off the team), Inui attempts a victory over the intractable Tezuka.
51 "Inui's Challenge"
Tezuka initially struggles against Inui's Data Tennis, but he manages to come back by using the "Tezuka Zone," a move which controls the spin of the ball so it will always return to him.
52 "Seigaku's Biggest Crisis"
Tezuka uses the Tezuka Zone to defeat Inui. Momo temporarily leaves the team, causing anxiety within the whole team. Oishi and Eiji argue over Eiji's "insensitive remarks", causing a division in the Golden Pair.
53 "The Momo who's Returned"
Momoshiro recovers his spirit after a match with Ann Tachibana and an encounter with the Hyotei Gakuen regulars. The Golden Pair makes up.
54 "Kaoru's Special Training"
Seigaku learns of their next opponent, Hyotei Gakuen, during the tournament combination drawings. Hyotei's rigorous regular selection process is revealed
SEASON THREE55 "Hyotei Presses Near"
All of the Seigaku tennis members are at the tennis court except for Oishi. They receive a phone call from him saying that he is at the hospital with a pregnant lady and can't leave. Momo runs over to take Oishi's place at the hospital only to find out that Oishi himself is also injured.
56 "Double for 3"
Eiji and Momo play doubles while Oishi cheers on the sidelines.
57 "Scud Serve"
Inui-Kaidoh pair plays Shishido-Ootori pair. Ootori shows them his Scud Serve.
58 "The Worst Compatibility"
Neither Inui or Kaidoh can react fast enough to Ootori's Scud Serve. Atobe reflects back on how hard Shishido and Ootori trained for this.
59 "The Hidden Trouble"
Inui reveals that he only needs data on Tezuka and Fuji because he has completed all the others. It's revealed how Inui got into his tennis style-data tennis. Inui and Kaidoh finally make a comeback with Inui completing his data gathering of the opponents.
60 "Power VS Power"
Kabaji and Kawamura battle it out with power duels.
61 "Duel of Hadoukyû"
Kawamura uses the one and two-handed hadōkyū. Kabaji copies it and then it becomes a duel of whoever's arm will last.
62 "The Disappearing Serve"
Fuji wants to pay Jirō back for defeating Yuuta and wants to win for Kawamura, who was injured along with Kabaji. Fuji reveals a very special serve.
63 "The Last Triple Counter"
Fuji shows the last of his triple counters, the Hakugei, and defeats Jirō.

65 "The Pillar of Seigaku"
Tezuka faces off with Atobe. Oishi reminisces about his promise to Tezuka that they would take Seigaku to the Nationals, and how Tezuka's arm was injured when they were first years.

Atobe shows his "Hametsu e no Rondo" (Rondo toward Destruction).
67 "End of the ball"
Tezuka keeps on using his left hand even though he knows that it will result in an injury.
68 "The Never Ending Tie-Break"
Atobe and Tezuka continue the match in an extremely long tie-break, until Atobe finally wins. Then Ryoma plays the last match against Hiyoshi Wakashi and wins with his Drive B.
69 "Who Will be a Regular?"
Kachiro gets upset with Arai and friends for being insensitive to the regulars who have injuries. They battle it out on the courts and whoever loses has to quit the tennis club.
70 "Tennis VS Ping Pong"
During Seigaku's club day, Ryoma participates in ping pong; Other members of the team participate in various sports.
71 "It's a date!"
Ann Tachibana asks Momoshiro and Ryoma for a tennis date, but the others see it differently.
72 "Kaoru becomes Ryoma"
Kaidoh is forced to impersonate Ryoma due to a mistake in a tennis magazine by Shiba, and plays a match with Momoshiro.
73 "Tezuka's Decision"
A normal training day; Tezuka reveals his decision to leave for Germany.
74 "A Message for Echizen"
Tezuka challenges Ryoma to another match using his right hand, and successfully uses the right-handed Tezuka Zone against him.
75 "Farewell, Tezuka Kunimitsu"
Ryoma finally breaks the Tezuka Zone, but still loses in the end. Tezuka leaves for Germany.
76 "Seigaku's vs Jyousei Shonan"
Jyosei Shonan's team is introduced.
77 "A Fight between the Calm and the Passionate"
Momoshiro is easily provoked by Jyousei Shonan's "unit," but gets his act together and make a comeback. However, when Momo accidentally drinks some of Inui's experimental Juice, Seigaku is forced to forfeit the Doubles 2 game.
78 "Thunderbolt"
The Golden Pair of Seigaku has to play with a very weird combination of Jōsei Shonan in the Doubles 1 Match.
SEASON FOUR79 "I formation"
New formation of the Golden Pair that is almost similar to their Australian Formation.
80 "Style of the Pretender"
Hiroshi Wakato the copy genius of Jōsei Shonan, faces off against Kaidoh of Seigaku. Kaidoh struggles to overcome Wakato's changover technique.
81 "Viper vs Fake Viper"
Kaidoh continues to struggle against Wakato's changover technique until he notices the key to Wakato's playstyle.
82 "Hanamura's Temptation"
The Kaidoh/Wakato match goes to a tiebreak and Kaidoh must overcome his fiercest opponent - himself.
83 "The Best Masterpiece"
Singles 2 between Ryoma Echizen and Reiji Shinjou commences, with Ryoma seemingly heading for an easy victory until Shinjō introduces his Mirage technique.
84 "Deep Impulse"
Reiji Shijō's old aggressive Tennis style is revealed, which was sealed by Hanamura-sensei because it injuried the opponent, making him want to leave Tennis.
85 "The Result of the Deadly Duel"
Echizen overcomes the deadly power of Deep Impulse, and wins the game. The team celebrates at Kawamura Sushi.
86 "High on Rhythm"
Sengoku of Yamabuki faces Kamio of Fudomine in a match of attrition.
87-88 [Special Episode] "Tennis Folktale - The Prince of Bowling & Prince Detective"
The Seigaku team goes bowling, everyone (even Fuji and Inui himself) is knocked out by Inui Juice, followed by a short chibi story where Inui loses his glasses.
89 "Seigaku, DaDaDan!"
Dan Taichi of Yamabuki arrives at Seigaku and challenges Ryoma to a match.
90 "Cheap Housing Beach Volleyball"
The Seigaku team goes to the beach. Sasabe and father turns up for a beach volleyball challenge against Ryoma and Kaidoh.
91 "Rokkaku's Freshman Captain"
Seigaku's regulars met Rokkaku's regulars on their way home and Kentarō Aoi has a practice match with Ryoma Echizen that revealed Kentarou's great ball control
92 "The Boy with the Long Racket"
A boy with a long racket (David) and his partner (Kurabane) have a match against Momoshiro and Kawamura in doubles.
93 "Dash Hadoukyuu"
Kawamura develops a new technique that knocked out the rackets of their opponent. Their opponent is surprised and worried about Kawamura's Dash Hadōkyū only to find out that Kawamura can only use Dash Hadōkyū once per game because it will destroy his wrist
94 "The Secret Plan to Seal Kikumaru"
Kikumaru's acrobatic play is sealed by Saeki Kojirō of Rokkaku until he revealed his amazing Seal Step but his stamina is drained easily.
95 "Tsubame Gaeshi, Broken"
Fuji's Tsubame Gaeshi becomes useless because Itsuki Marehiko of Rokkaku can hit a Sinker, ball with no spin. Until Fuji, being a genius, makes Itsuki Marehiko hit a cord ball thus creating a spin and Fuji is able to use Tsubame Gaeshi again.
96 "Ryoma, Get Pumped!"
Ryoma fights with Kentarō Aoi in a game that is to be continued until the next day because it is already sunset. It is almost 3 hours but they are still not finished with the game.
97 "Finishing Smash"
After the long game, Ryoma finally wins the match against Kentarō Aoi.
SEASON FIVE98 "The Prince of Billiards"
Fuji exacts his revenge for the previous bowling outing by introducing the team to billiards, only for Echizen to foil his victory.
99 "The Cursed Racket"
Ryoma finds a mysterious racket which was believed to be "cursed". Strange misfortunes keep happening to the finder of the racket...
100 "Captain Oishi"
In the absence of Tezuka, a tense Oishi puts the team through its paces.
101 "Eat Rikkaidai"
Lunch at Kawamura's sushi place; the team watches Fudomine's defeat by Rikkaidai witnessing Akaya's play that injured Tachibana in the game and vows to extract revenge and win
102 "Mizuki's Whispers"
Momoshiro and Kaidoh get tricked into playing a doubles match with Mizuki from St. Rudolph and Kajimoto from Jōsei Shonan. They were forced to set aside their differences to win or else they would have to leave Seigaku.
103 "Sleepless Night"
The night before the big match with Rikkaidai, the Seigaku players realize where they should really be.
104 "Ryoma vs Sanada"
The match with Rikkaidai is suspended for a week due to the rain; nonetheless, Ryoma challenges Genichirō Sanada of Rikkaidai to a match.
105 "Ryoma Utterly Beaten"
Ryoma loses completely to Sanada; afterwards, his performance in training suffers. Akutsu teaches him a lesson.
106 "Let's Go Camping!"
The Seigaku team goes on a training trip. Meanwhile Inoue checks on Seigaku's next opponent, Rikkaidai.
107 "The Captain Appears!"
Yamato Yūdai, the previous Captain of Seigaku, shows up for the training camp. He teaches a skeptical Ryoma some valuable lessons about tennis.
108 "Surprise at Camp"
A "bear" intrudes upon the training camp; it is up to the players to get rid of it and save the hostages inside the camp.
109 "Tennis Biathalon"
A special training session awaits.
110 "Jump, Kabaji!"
The Hyotei Gakuen tennis team shows up for an intensive session with Seigaku. Kikumaru faces off with the genius copycat player Kabaji Munehiro, while Inui faces Hiyoshi Wakashi. Kikumaru eventually wins as Kabaji tires, unable to sustain the copying of Kikumaru's acrobatic play.
111 "Original Prodigy: Fuji Shūsuke"
The genius players, Yūshi Oshitari of Hyotei and Shusuke Fuji of Seigaku, face off while Ryō Shishido faces Oishi.
112 "Hadōkyū vs Scud Serve"
Mukahi Gakuto plays Momoshiro while Oshitori Chōtarō faces Kawamura.
113 "Atobe the Beautiful"
Kaidoh faces Akutagawa Jirō, while Ryoma faces Keigo Atobe. Kaidoh eventually uses the Hadōkyū to hit a Boomerang Snake, which knocks out Jirō.
114 "Ryoma is Going!"
Atobe sees Ryoma's limitless potential. During this game, Ryoma starts to develop his new move, and he practices it with Oishi after his practice game with Hyotei.
115 "Baseball Game Filled With Men"
A chibi episode where the characters play a game of baseball, followed by a Western shootout comedy.
116-117 [Special Episode]"Seigaku vs Champion Rikkaidai! I'll be the One who'll Win!" This is it! After 1 week's postponement of their match, it's finally here! But Momoshiro and Kaidoh are missing!
118 "Battle Ceremony"
Momoshiro and Kaidoh vs. Bunta Marui and Jackal Kuwahara.
119 "Tightrope Walking Doubles"
Marui's move is revealed. The ball "walks" across the net, surprising everyone.
120 "Kikumaru Was Read By Niou"
Kikumaru is read by Niō, which angers him. The Golden Pair experiences a tension that makes the first half of the game in favor of Rikkaidai.
121 "Yagyuu's Decision"
The Golden Pair is able to make a comeback, thanks to Oishi's patience.
122 "Inui Hollers"
Inui faces his former doubles partner, Renji Yanagi, in a match that will determine who's stronger.
123 "Conclusion of the Remembered"
Everybody is surprised when Inui says that he'll forget all his data, only to find out that he actually didn't. Renji is manipulated by Inui, who makes their match from before continue.
124 "Kirihara's Red Trap"
The genius of Seigaku, Shūsuke Fuji, faces Rikkaidai's Akaya Kirihara. A battle of an 'Angel' against a 'Demon'. Kirihara intentionally injures Fuji's right knee.
125 "Angry Fuji"
Kirihara continues to injure Fuji. Tachibana arrives despite of his injury (also dealt by Kirihara) and cheers Fuji on. However, when Kirihara attempts to injure Tachibana again, Fuji finally becomes angry at Kirihara's sadistic style of tennis and unleashes his full potential on Kirihara.
126 "Clash! Ryoma vs Sanada"
The deciding game!! Sanada's powerful serves initially pushed back Echizen putting him at a disadvantage. Ryoma hasn't won in 3 games, but he gains advantage by using a new move called "cyclone smash"; holding Sanada back.
127 "Invisible Serve"
Having all his moves sealed, Ryoma can only use his "cyclone smash". Pushed by the need to fight for Yukimura (Rikkaidai’s captain) Sanada used his “Invisible Serve”, a move that effectively hides his swing and the path of the ball.
128 "Conclusion ~ Which One will Win?"
Ryoma, after temporarily losing his morale due to not being able to return the “Invisible serve” eventually started to feel the pressure from his peers and challengers. This along with his desire not to lose pushed him to go into the State of Self-Actualization and used the techniques of other players. Rikkaidai loses the game and heads to the Nationals as runner-up. When they go to Kawamura's sushi place to celebrate, Ryusaki-sensei comes with news that Rikkaidai's captain Yukimura Seiichi's sugery is successful.

Tezuka and Fuji have a match to determine Seigaku's number one in the intraschool ranking. This match, which lasts until episode 176, truly awakens Fuji's full potential as a tennis player. Flashbacks reveal a match between the two when they were first years, their subsequent friendship, and the implications of Tezuka's injury. Fuji takes an early lead, but the match is far from over.
175 "Seriousness in the Third Year"
Tezuka and Fuji's match intensifies as they each gradually begin to reveal their best moves (Tezuka's Zero-Shiki Drop/Tezuka Zone and Fuji's Triple Counters). Tezuka slowly begins to surpass Fuji. As he begins to struggle, Fuji reminisces about their first year match (which included the promise of a rematch) and their developing friendship. He then realizes that he is afraid of finding out the results of both of them playing to their full potential and that this is quite possibly the last match they will ever have against each other, and he concludes that if he doesn't play his hardest, he will regret it. His hits suddenly get sharper, and Tezuka comments that the true Fuji has awakened.
176 "Climax"
Once Fuji starts playing his hardest, Tezuka starts to get pushed back. With heart and soul completely in the match, the two battle at their hardest. Tezuka wins by using Zero-Shiki Drop Shot with his right hand in mid-air, surprising Fuji and everyone else.
177 "Unforgettable Promise(NB. 177 & 178 were originally aired as a 1 hour special)"
Ryoma goes back to Japan to play a game with Tezuka because he wants to put an end to the rivalry that he left so he can mentally move on to the US Open.
178 "Goodbye, Prince"
Last episode of the series. Shows that Ryoma defeated Tezuka and the world's number one seed, Lleyton Hewitt. The Opening Rites of The All-Japan Nationals are also shown.
